Nef's POV
Sasha's flight would be landing soon. I've been pacing the promenade for the last 15 minutes willing the pilot to fly just a little bit faster. I wanted him in my arms now. It's been nearly two months since we parted in DC. June had been brutal after having him all to myself for most of May. I'd deemed our separation long enough.
When I saw the tousled messiness of red-brown hair coming down the walk was I all but sprinted to him.
"God, I missed you!" he said, catching me as I jumped into his arms.
His flight had landed in Germany in the early evening so we decided to go back to my apartment so he could shower before dinner. He was finicky like that. He said that he needed to was the dirty "plane" feeling off. He'd been lucky and found a direct flight with no layovers but it was still 8 hours on a plane.
While we were picking up Sasha's luggage he stopped into a flower shop on the promenade to get a bouquet of roses for me.
"For you," he said as he kissed my forehead and gently placed the roses into my hands.
It didn't matter where er were or how long we'd been apart Sasha always made sure that he was able to get flowers for me. Dinner was simple and quiet, We just focused on each others company, catching up on everything that we'd missed while being apart. When we arrived back at my apartment we were alone. Im hadn't gotten back from picking up his new girlfriend. Her flight landed just a few hours after Sasha's. I doubted that Sasha would be awake for much longer so we retreated to my room where he crawled into my arms.
"I've wanted to fall asleep in your arms for the past month," he whispered to me.
I sent Im a quick text message that Sasha and I were in bed for the night and that the four of us would have breakfast and introductions the following morning. I hadn't forgotten about Im and Sasha's little plan of distracting me from being able to interrogate this new girl.
Sasha's POV
The first morning of my stay in Germany I woke up before Nef. Sometime during the night she had moved out of my arms and was laying face down on her side of the bed. I had rolled over and was using her back as a pillow.
We'd fallen asleep with the door open and I quietly got up to use the bathroom. It was still fairly early but I knew Nef wouldn't sleep for much longer. She could never sleep beyond 7:30 am. I knocked on Im's bedroom door.
"Morning, Nef still sleeping but I not know for how much longer. I know she tell you that she want do breakfast but -"
"Thanks, bro. Keep her busy for about an hour. That should be enough time for Tessa and I to leave."
"Okay."
When I went back to Nef's room she was just starting to stir. I slid back into bed and placed kisses across her shoulders and down her arms.
"Good morning, Beautiful," I said as she opened her eyes and smiled at me.
We hadn't gotten the chance to really make love last night; just a quick one to sate the urges we had. Now I intended to have her fully.
"Good morning, Love." She pulled my lips down to hers and kissed me passionately.
We shifted so that she was on her back and I was nestled in between her legs. I slowly started to thrust my hips against her as my hands roamed over her body. It wasn't long before I started to pull at her tank top and shorts not liking the fact that something was blocking access to her skin.
"I want you," I told her. We didn't stop moving until I was fully seated inside of her.
"Sasha!" she yelled, wrapping her legs around my hips.
We started off slow but it had been too long and we'd missed each other so much. We moved roughly against one another, intently focused on release.
"Faster," Nef commanded.
I could feel her nails rake down my back and I could feel her internal muscles clenching tightly around my erection. I came with a shout, biting down on her shoulder. Her thighs trapped my as her body clenched impossibly tight around me. We were both panting.
"That was...wow," Nef said when she finally caught her breath. "Where did that come from?"
"You. Missed you lots."
Nef's POV
I pushed Sasha onto his back and trailed kisses from his legs up to his chest. He trembled every time my lips hit a sensitive spot.
"I want you again," I told him.
He growled low in the back of his throat and reached for me. He pulled me until I was straddling him. I could feel him begin to harden again. I grabbed his wrists and crossed them above his head.
"Kiss me, please," he asked before I could pull back.
I used one hand to hold his wrists to the bed and then other to cup his jaw, presenting his lips to me. The kiss was slow, lingering, and passionate.
"More," he said.
I traced my tongue across his full lips before I trailed my hand down his body to his now full erection. I guided him to my opening and he lifted his hips to slide inside of me.
"Keep your hands where they are." I released his hands to sit upright.
My pace was slow; I could feel every inch of him inside me. The first time had been rough and fast, neither of us wanting to take it slowly. The second time had been slower but still rough and also animalistic. This time we moved against each other trying to draw out as much pleasure as we could.
Sasha and I were so intensely focused on each other that I almost didn't hear the door to our apartment slam shut. The sound jarred me, it was far to early for anyone to be arriving. Sasha's hands came to my hips when my rhythm faltered, urging me to move again. Before I could move again Sasha's phone buzzed on the nightstand with an incoming text message. I would have ignored it if he hadn't looked at it with wide eyes before glancing up at me. It was a guilty look that I'd seen only when he'd done something that he was trying to hide.
I reached over to grab his phone and he tried to pull it out of my hands.
"Didn't I say to keep your hands above your head?"
"Don't stop," he murmured. "That can wait, please."
I was about to put his phone back when it buzzed again. This time when he tried to sit up I pushed him back down. When he tried to speak a look from me silenced him. There were two messages, both from Im.
Tessa and I are gone, read the first one.
Thanks Bro. I owe you one, read the second one.
Three things crossed my mind. First, Im called Sasha "Bro." They'd grown closer and I was happy with that. Second, the slamming door was Im and his girlfriend leaving and skipping the breakfast introduction I had planned. Third, Sasha had distracted me long enough for them to leave.
"So you distracted me while Im and Tessa left?" I asked. Sasha blushed and refused to meet my eyes.
I placed his phone back on the nightstand and leaned down until my face was right above his. I nipped at his lips and said "Bad Sasha. Now I have to punish you."

Chapter 94 - Forever and a day
Sasha's POV
I'd been away from Nef for about a month. I'd been to Turkey with Ovie and now I was about to head to Germany to visit her. The summer had been good so far and I was looking forward to reuniting with her. I'd been thinking about asking her to marry me. We'd spoken about marriage many times and she knew that I wanted her for forever and a day. I wasn't completely sure that she would say yes. I knew that she wanted to be with me but I also knew that marriage made her jumpy. She didn't want to be pushed into marriage and if she felt it wasn't the time she wouldn't do it. Her family's view on marriage had contributed to this view in her.
It took me months to talk her into moving in with me and that had been aided by her being pregnant, and then by her roommates going their separate ways after graduation. I had talked to my parents and her parents and both were all for it. Her family loved me and my parents had grown to love her. This past year had solidified our relationship between us and with our families. When I arrived in Germany I had every intention of sitting down with her grandparents and talking to them about marrying their granddaughter. I knew how close her family was and I know that it meant a lot to her parents that I had taken the time to sit down and talk to them about marrying Nef and I knew that it would mean a lot to her grandparents as well.
"Are you ready to settle down?" Ovie asked me when I told him about asking Nef to marry me.
"Yes. I want her - for forever. This year has shown me that she's what I want and what I need. She's the one. When she was pregnant I could see my family and future coming together and when we lost the baby I felt like I was dying. I'm absolutely sure that I want her. I'm absolutely sure that I need her."
"So, I should start working on my best man speech?" Ovie smiled and congratulated me.
We would be in Turkey for another 5 days and Ovie promised that we'd get started early on my bachelor party.
"I'm not even engaged yet! And lets not do anything that might make her say no."
Maybe I should have waited until the end of our trip to tell Ovie that I was going to ask Nef to marry me. He seems to think that the first thing we need to do is go find an army of Turkish belly dancers to celebrate with. I tried to decline but he was dragging me from our hotel to the resort nightclub on the lower level. Ovie never passed up a reason to celebrate and this time would be no different.
The following morning my phone rang. It was Nef calling me.
"Good morning sleepyhead!" she said cheerily into the phone.
I'm pretty sure I grunted into the phone. I'm not a morning person, especially when I've only gotten about 4 hours of sleep. Nef's used to it and she wasn't bothered that I barely spoke on the phone. She was calling to hammer out the details of my trip to Germany. It seems that it wouldn't be just her and I. Im was bringing a girl that he had been seeing for a visit at the same time. It would be Nef's introduction to this woman.
"I can't believe Im thought that I would be to distracted to focus on her! He's my twin brother; of course I would pay attention to her. She's going to have to get through me if she wants my brother."
"He not think that. He think that I distract you on purpose," I jokingly said into the phone. "I owe him a few."
"That's not funny."
"I not joking. Im help me a lot so I help him back."
I started to laugh when Nef growled into the phone. She knew I was teasing her but she couldn't help her reaction.
"You're going to get it!" She said. "Oh, I am going to get you. As soon as I get my hands on you!"
"What you get me? You know I only need you."
"Cheeky monkey." She called me that whenever I teased or talked back to her. The pitch of her voice lowered."It's been a while since we've played. I'm beginning to think you've forgotten your place."
I was hard instantly. It was the voice she used whenever we played and I was submissive to her.
"I think you need a reminder of how to behave."
"You gonna remind me?" I asked, my voice a little breathless. "How?"
"Questioning me? Oh, now I know you need a lesson. You are getting out of hand."
I groaned into the phone. Her subtle promises of pleasure made me want her badly.
"I not out of hand. I good, always good."
By the time I got off the phone with Nef I was in desperate need of a cold shower. Five more days in Turkey, a little more than a week at home, and then finally to Germany for some time with Nef. I was counting down the days until we're back together.

Chapter 93 - If I had a single flower for every time I think about you, I could walk forever in my garden
If I had a single flower for every time I think about you, I could walk forever in my garden.

Sasha's POV
I've been in back home for a little longer than a week. I'd left the States the same day Nef left for training in Germany. It allowed us to spend another week or so together after her graduation. We'd be apart until July. Last summer we'd experienced spending longer periods of time away from each other. It sucked but there was no way around it. We hadn't been able to talk as much as either of us wanted. When she and Im landed in Germany they had about a day to get settled in and then it was work, work, work, and more work. She called when she could and I tried not to bother her to much. We did text often.
We had set up a weekly Skpe date on Sunday evenings.
"I miss you so much," were the first words she said to me on a first Skpe date.
"I miss you too. I can't wait see you."
"When do you leave for Turkey?"
"Next weekend. Ovie back now...they fire Coach Bykov after the tournament."
"Not surprised about that. You said that it would happen if the team didn't do well."
We talked aimlessly for about an hour. Just catching up on what had happened since we left the States. She told me a lot about work and how the company perceived her and Im.
"There are quite a few people that believe that the only reason Im and I got our jobs was because of our grandparents."
"You know that's not true. I know that if your grandparents didn't believe that you and Im are capable they wouldn't have hired you. I mean they didn't hire some of their own children."
For the most part their children didn't have a whole lot of interest in the company. They'd all pursued their dreams of other careers. I'm pretty sure that Nef's uncle Ali was the only one that worked with the company. Her Uncle Azi no longer worked with the company. He had been brought on but after too many performance and management issues her grandparents realized that this just wasn't for him and they let him go.
"I know that...I just hate the perception of it. Im and I are smart, capable, and we work hard. I just hate that we have to prove it to people that pass judgement without even knowing us."
I didn't have to tell Nef to work hard; she would already do that. I did have to tell her not to worry so much. The opinions of others didn't matter too much. Her grandparents had faith in her and that was all that mattered.
"You keep me sane," she said.
That's my job.
"Do me a favor?" she asked. "Don't fall for any belly dancing girls while you're in Turkey."
"I've already fallen for one belly dancing girl and she happens to be Egyptian."
Nef's POV
Sasha's been back in Russia for a little longer than a week. It's hell being away from him but I have work as a distraction. He spent most of his time catching up with family and friends after being away for 9 months. He told me that his mother had run into Nadiya's mom a few days after he got back to Russia. Honestly, we had put much thought into her after that whole tabloid fiasco. Sasha's agent had lawyers send a cease and desist notice to Nadiya and her family. My grandparents also has the company's team of lawyers threaten legal action against her harassment and we threatened to file assault charges against her. A potentially lengthy and expensive legal fight on her hands caused her to back down.
Nadiya's mom had tried to apologize for her daughter but Tatiana told her to stay away from our family. I had a feeling that Nadiya wouldn't leave it alone but I had hoped that I would never see or hear from her or about her ever again.
The last two or so weeks had been jam packed with a million things but I made time to talk to Sasha on Skype on Sundays and a couple of times on the phone during the week. I was counting down the days until he would arrive in Germany. Im had been talking to girl before we left for Germany and he had continued to chat with her frequently.
"Who is she?" I asked him one evening after he had been skyping for about two hours.
"A girl I met when I was a home for Christmas break. We've been talking for a few months now but I think things are getting serious."
"When can I meet her?" I had to meet the girl before she could be approved to date my twin brother.
"She's coming for a visit the week that Alex is coming," Im said smiling.
I'm sure he scheduled that on purpose. He thought that I would be to wrapped up into Sasha to properly interrogate this girl. Not likely. Im grilled Sasha when they first met and it's to be expected. We're twins and we care deeply about each other and we have to make sure that the person is worthy.

Chapter 92 - Ready, Set, Go. It's time to ROCK!
Sasha's POV
In the span of a week everything came to a head for Nef. She finished the last of her final exams and her graduation was on Friday and Saturday. She had a few days to celebrate with her family and friends and then her and Im were on a flight to Germany for a week. Their training and orientation wouldn't officially start until mid June but there were a few things that they need to get settle before they started, namely living arrangements, scheduling for workshops, investment client visits, etc.
When she left I was tasked with wrapping up everything at my house and her apartment so that when she left for Germany for training I could go back to Russia and she wouldn't have anything left to do other than boarding her flight. Of the two months that she would be in Germany I would visit her for about a week and once training wrapped up she would come to Russia for a week or so.

Of the two months that she would be in Germany I would visit her for about a week and once training wrapped up she would come to Russia for a week or so.
We'd moved most of her things into my house and we'd donated the furniture that she didn't need. We'd reached a compromise on the house issue. For the time being she would move in with me and we'd redecorate it together. My parents are only in the States for half of the season and they would be scaling back the time spent with me. They wanted to spend more time with my niece and nephew, Veronika and Ivan. We were entering into the next major phase of our relationship and we needed to take the time to focus on ourselves.
"Okay, so there are two ceremonies this weekend. Main Commencement with all of the graduate and undergraduate students and then my smaller department graduation. Main Commencement is Friday evening and my department graduation is on Saturday," Nef told me.
I would be able to sit through the Friday ceremony with her family and it was unlikely that there would be too much trouble from fans with me attending as there would be a large number of people. I could get lost in the crowd. Saturday would be a little trickier as the number of graduates was smaller.
Tonight we were at her parents house just hanging out. We were laying in various spaces in the living room watching a movie together. Im was home as his graduation was the weekend before.
"Are you excited about graduation?" her mother asked.
"Not really. I'm just ready to be done with school," Nef answered. "I am excited about not having to study or worry about exams or projects or group assignments...I am excited about starting work."
It had been a stressful couple of weeks and now Nef was enjoying a few moments of calmness.
Nef's POV
I don't remember much from graduation. There were lots of pictures, and hugs, and tears from my mom, and congratulations from my dad...but don't ask me what was said during the ceremony. I just remember hearing my name followed by lots of cheers from my family. I remember walking across the stage and shaking hands with the head of my department and with my faculty adviser. I remember seeing Sasha smiling at me and cheer as I walked across the stage. I remember his arms holding me closely when I found him after the ceremony. I remember my dad telling me how proud he was and I remember my mom crying, telling me how happy she was.
My grandparents have been in town for about two weeks. They'd come for Im and I's graduations but they'd also came to get a head start on our training. We'd had a few introductory meetings that discussed our positions, our responsibilities, and our training paths. The first year of our employment was completely mapped out for us.
Sasha was my champion through it all. He took over the task of not only making sure I made it to the places I needed to be on time but he also made sure that I didn't get overwhelmed before I left for Germany. I was not happy that Sasha wasn't coming with me but I had to be realistic. I wouldn't have much time to spend with him even if he did come with me. His flight home to Russia left the same day as my flight to Germany.
Saying good by to my roommates was difficult. I love living with Jackie and Jesse. We'd been friends for several years and these girls were truly the sisters that I'd never had. We each promised that we wouldn't lose contact with each other. Jesse and Jackie made me swear that the would receive invitations to the wedding whenever Sasha and I decided that it was time for us to settle down.
The night before my flight to Germany Sasha and I opted for a quiet night with just the two of us watching the at the IIHF world tournament. The Finland - Russia game was about to start.
"It's not fair that I'm leaving to start working and you are leaving to go on vacation." I whined as we snuggled on the couch.
"I work hard for months. Now time for me to relax."
He wore only a pair of boxer briefs as we were alone in his house and I could see that the bruises that he'd had from the season were healing nicely. All the aches and pains that accompanied playing hockey were leaving him. Ovie was currently playing for the Russian national team in Slovakia but after that they had a week long vacation planned in Turkey.
"Is okay. I call you everyday and tell you how much fun we have," Sasha said smiling.
I slapped his chest and glared at him. I opened my mouth to tell him that I didn't think he was funny and he shushed me. The puck was about to drop and once the game started he would be engrossed in the play. We were reclining on the couch so I laid my head on his chest, only to bite his nipple.
"Ahh, not do that!" he said trying to pull me off.
I bite down a little harder and he shouted "I sorry! I take you. I take you vacation when you finish work."
"Do you promise?" I mumbled, not releasing the flesh from between my teeth.
"Yes! Promise. I promise I take you!"
When I let go of his nipple he turned away from me and called me a bully. Once the game started Sasha said very little. He may have decided not to play but he was still very much interested in the outcome. Team Russia did not play well. They lost 3-0 and I could tell that Coach Bykov was losing it. Every time the camera panned to him he was screaming.
Sasha told me that he thought that Coach Bykov may not be the National team coach for much longer. There had been a lot of fall out from the losses during the Olympics and coach Bykov's uncompromising nature and his unwillingness to change with the changing dynamics of the team made the governing body less than happy. There was a lot riding on the outcome of this tournament for Coach Bykov.
After the game we turned off the television and spent the rest of the night together.

91 - It's my decision
AN: Short but I wanted to get back into the habit of not having giant gaps between posts!
Nef's POV
Shit. The boys were swept by Tampa Bay. It was unexpected after they had done so well against the Rangers. When the boys got back from Florida Sasha came directly to my apartment. He crawled into bed beside me and didn't mention anything about the series. The following morning Sasha's phone rang. It was the GM of the National team. I expected this - since the Caps were out of the playoffs the Russians would be leaving in a few days to compete in the world championship. I didn't stick around to listen to the conversation. If the timeline followed last year I would have him for a few more days before he would be leaving for training. I needed to get to campus for a study group anyway.
After a quick breakfast Sasha and I went our separate ways - me to campus and he to Kettler for the end of season wrap up. This year Sasha was better handling losing in the playoffs. Last year he had been sullen and moody but this year he was sad but he hadn't shut down the way he did last year. Later that evening he showed up at my apartment to help me pack. I'd be moving out in a few months but I'd be spending the majority of my summer over seas. Spending a month and a half in Germany at Hassim Investments Company headquarters for training and spending whatever left over time there was in Russia with Sasha wouldn't leave a lot of time to pack. I had RuTV on the television for background noise while Sasha and I packed nonessential items.
An interview with Coach Bykov came on.
"I am not inviting Alexander Semin to play. He was not very good in the games against Tampa."
Huh? Didn't Sasha get a call from the GM this morning?
"Sasha! Can you come here for a second?" I called to him. He was in my room packing the books on my bookshelf.
"Yes?" he said.
"Didn't you get a call from the GM of the National Team this morning?"
"Yeah."
I pointed to the television. "Then why is Coach Bykov saying that he didn't invite you to play?"
"I tell them no."
"What?! Why?" Hockey is his job. Why would he not go to play?
"The days not work. I be away when you graduate. Not have time to come back here for it."
"So?" I said. I had already thought of that when the tournament dates were released last month. I had also looked at what round of the playoffs my graduation would fall on in the vent that the Caps were still playing.
"You more important. I want be here for your graduation. I guess Coach Bykov not like my answer."
My first thought was how sweet it was for him to choose to be here with me rather than going back to Russia to play. My second thought was no, that's not what he's supposed to do. My third thought was that Coach Bykov was a douche. I told him to call the GM and tell him that he would be there but of course he refused.
"No, it my decision."
"But - "
"No. I love you so I be here for you. This important."
He went back to my room, letting me know that this was the end of conversation.
I never wanted to interfere with Sasha's career. I didn't ever want him to feel like he had to choose between hockey and me. I picked up the phone and called his parents.
"Hello? Tatiana? It's Nefertiti. I'm calling about Sasha...he just told me that he turned down the National team."
"He told us that. He wouldn't be able to attend your graduation if he went. He wants to be here for you," she told me.
"I understand that but I don't want to interfere with his career."
"Nefertiti, you're not," she insisted. "He made the decision that was best for him and the relationship he's building with you."
I could tell from the conversation that I wasn't going to be able to convince her to try and talk Sasha into going.
"I feel like he thinks he has to choose between hockey and me. I understand that he has to make sacrifices for his career and I'm okay with it I don't want him to do something that could hurt his career. I don't think he made the right decision but I don't know how to make him see that."
"I'm sorry you feel that way but there isn't anything I can do to change his mind. Besides, weren't you and Valeri telling me how I need to step back and let Sasha manage his own life? Let him make the decisions that make him happy?" she asked me.
Yes, I'd said that. We all had and here I was going against the very thing that we had fought for.
"Yeah, you're right...I just...no, you're absolutely right."
This was Sasha's decision. It was his career and his life and he had to make the decisions that he could be happy with. I said goodbye to Tatiana and went back to packing. I'm happy that he won't be leaving soon. Last summer had been brutal and I missed him a lot.
Sasha came back into the living room.
"Did you call my mother to get her to try and change my mind?"
"Yeah, we talked for a bit."
"It's my decision and I want to be here for you. I know that there will be times in the future when I won't be able to be here for you. I want to be here to support you whenever I can." His voice was gentle and imploring, like he wanted me to understand his reasoning.
"I understand. Your mother and I talked about it. You're right and I just need to accept your decision and trust that you know what's best for you and your career."
"What?!" he said smiling. "Say that again."
"I just need to accept your decision and trust that you know what's best for you and your career."
"No, the other part where you said I was right."
"I said that? I don't remember," I said pretending that I didn't recall admitting he was right.
He grabbed my arms and pulled me into his lap.
"Say it!" he said wrapping his arms around me, squeezing me slightly.
When I didn't answer he started to tickle me.
"Okay!" I screeched. "You're right!"
His lips found mine and he kissed me gently telling me that he loved me.
