If I had a single flower for every time I think about you, I could walk forever in my garden.

Sasha's POV
I've been in back home for a little longer than a week. I'd left the States the same day Nef left for training in Germany. It allowed us to spend another week or so together after her graduation. We'd be apart until July. Last summer we'd experienced spending longer periods of time away from each other. It sucked but there was no way around it. We hadn't been able to talk as much as either of us wanted. When she and Im landed in Germany they had about a day to get settled in and then it was work, work, work, and more work. She called when she could and I tried not to bother her to much. We did text often.
We had set up a weekly Skpe date on Sunday evenings.
"I miss you so much," were the first words she said to me on a first Skpe date.
"I miss you too. I can't wait see you."
"When do you leave for Turkey?"
"Next weekend. Ovie back now...they fire Coach Bykov after the tournament."
"Not surprised about that. You said that it would happen if the team didn't do well."
We talked aimlessly for about an hour. Just catching up on what had happened since we left the States. She told me a lot about work and how the company perceived her and Im.
"There are quite a few people that believe that the only reason Im and I got our jobs was because of our grandparents."
"You know that's not true. I know that if your grandparents didn't believe that you and Im are capable they wouldn't have hired you. I mean they didn't hire some of their own children."
For the most part their children didn't have a whole lot of interest in the company. They'd all pursued their dreams of other careers. I'm pretty sure that Nef's uncle Ali was the only one that worked with the company. Her Uncle Azi no longer worked with the company. He had been brought on but after too many performance and management issues her grandparents realized that this just wasn't for him and they let him go.
"I know that...I just hate the perception of it. Im and I are smart, capable, and we work hard. I just hate that we have to prove it to people that pass judgement without even knowing us."
I didn't have to tell Nef to work hard; she would already do that. I did have to tell her not to worry so much. The opinions of others didn't matter too much. Her grandparents had faith in her and that was all that mattered.
"You keep me sane," she said.
That's my job.
"Do me a favor?" she asked. "Don't fall for any belly dancing girls while you're in Turkey."
"I've already fallen for one belly dancing girl and she happens to be Egyptian."
Nef's POV
Sasha's been back in Russia for a little longer than a week. It's hell being away from him but I have work as a distraction. He spent most of his time catching up with family and friends after being away for 9 months. He told me that his mother had run into Nadiya's mom a few days after he got back to Russia. Honestly, we had put much thought into her after that whole tabloid fiasco. Sasha's agent had lawyers send a cease and desist notice to Nadiya and her family. My grandparents also has the company's team of lawyers threaten legal action against her harassment and we threatened to file assault charges against her. A potentially lengthy and expensive legal fight on her hands caused her to back down.
Nadiya's mom had tried to apologize for her daughter but Tatiana told her to stay away from our family. I had a feeling that Nadiya wouldn't leave it alone but I had hoped that I would never see or hear from her or about her ever again.
The last two or so weeks had been jam packed with a million things but I made time to talk to Sasha on Skype on Sundays and a couple of times on the phone during the week. I was counting down the days until he would arrive in Germany. Im had been talking to girl before we left for Germany and he had continued to chat with her frequently.
"Who is she?" I asked him one evening after he had been skyping for about two hours.
"A girl I met when I was a home for Christmas break. We've been talking for a few months now but I think things are getting serious."
"When can I meet her?" I had to meet the girl before she could be approved to date my twin brother.
"She's coming for a visit the week that Alex is coming," Im said smiling.
I'm sure he scheduled that on purpose. He thought that I would be to wrapped up into Sasha to properly interrogate this girl. Not likely. Im grilled Sasha when they first met and it's to be expected. We're twins and we care deeply about each other and we have to make sure that the person is worthy.
